Batman Condenado: el cómic que lo muestra al desnudo

Este era el cómic que mostraba a Batman al desnudo, tanto de cuerpo y alma, pero actualmente solo es su alma. Se censuró por mostrar los genitales del caballero oscuro. Aunque lo importante acá es la historia. El Joker está muerto y Batman no recuerda nada de lo sucedido, pero es el principal sospechoso. Entonces termina aliándose con Constantine para tratar de descubrir la verdad, aunque puede que no sea tan fácil, aún para el mejor detective del mundo.

Brian Azzarello y Lee Bermejo ponen la historia y el dibujo a un cómic que fue bastante polémico por lo antes dicho. Pero sobre todo fueron quienes trajeron una historia diferente de Batman, un personaje con más de 80 años de trayectoria. Al no ser una historia canónica, es decir que no sucede dentro del universo clásico de estos superhéroes, Azzarello puede jugar más con el guion. de esta manera nos brindan una historieta oscura, dura, que transmite los traumas de Bruce de otra manera a la cual estamos acostumbrados. Nos plantea situaciones como la difícil niñez del pequeño Bruce aún antes de que sus padres murieran, ya que estos tenían muy mala relación.

Batman, Constantine y Deadman

La utilización de la voz en off como si fuera un clásico del cine negro y el protagonista un detective que intenta atrapar a un asesino que podría ser él mismo, es un toque muy acertado para contar esta historia. Esto sumado al dibujo realista de Bermejo le dan la crudeza de la realidad que necesitaba este cómic. Acá Batman no está buscando salvar a alguien, sino que aplica todas sus técnicas para descubrir qué pasó, rompiendo en el camino algunas de sus reglas, es un vigilante violento.

Esta historieta se editó bajo el sello DC Black Label, una línea para adultos que surgió luego del cierre de la legendaria Vértigo.
